Why you should choose
The Texas Inspector?

Tom Blowers
For the past NINE years and Countless home inspections, I have helped THOUSANDS of home-buyers to make good decisions about the largest purchase they will ever make.

Every house that I inspect is different, and every person I work with is, too! It is my job to make sure your needs are fulfilled to the best of my abilty, and you are well informed about your new home. I will give you a clear, honest opinion, and make sure you understand any issue that comes up as a result of a home inspection.

It all comes down to good communication. Being able to interpret how well a client understands an issue that has come up in an inspection, and how well the inspector communicates those issues should be considered. Simply putting a report together about the damage and defects of a particular property is not completing the inspection. An inspector should also be able to inform a potential buyer about how something works, or how to operate and care for something that they may have never had experience with; like Gas Water Heaters, Swimming Pools, A/C systems and so on.

Having been in customer service for most of my life, I understand the needs of people that hire me as their home inspector. I hope that I will be able to put that Whole Package together to better serve you, my future clients.

Could this damage and these defects be in your home?

  • "Fantastic, thorough, and prompt service!!! We needed a home inspector we could trust asap (or we would either lose the house or buy "as is", neither of which we wanted). Unable to walk through the inspection with him, we put our future in Tom's hands. He came through with an EXTREMELY THOROUGH inspection. Report was emailed. Thanks to Tom, we will save a lot of $$$$ in the long run! We are now confident we are buying the right home, and have peace of mind during a stressful time."

  • "I chose 1st Look Home Inspection to inspect a home that I am purchasing from another state. The inspection was performed immediately and the results were e-mailed to me within a few hours of completion. The e-mailed report was in PDF format and incredibly thorough and detailed with high quality photos and professional recommendations. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than this, honestly. I would highly recommend "Tom" to anyone needing a home inspection."

  • "This company explained exactly what they were going to do, how they were going to execute, when to expect them. They delivered in all three areas. They provide precise pictures of house, pictures of trouble areas, and wrote a very detailed report. He took (very clear) pictures where needed to explain his concerns. His report was provided within 24 hours of inspection. After reviewing report in detailed with me and asking me what I would like to request repairs on, he provided a separate report to inform seller of my concerns and repair requests. Job well done."

  • "The inspector was very courteous and really knew his stuff. Was very open to answering my questions. He even called roof installers to find out about what turned out to be a "failing" roof shingle that was installed on the roof of the house i was looking at.

Overall a very good experience, decently priced, GREAT DEAL, would recommend to anyone looking for a home inspector."

HOME TIP
Winter Energy Conservation

Turn down your thermostat to 68 degrees. For every degree you lower your heat in the 60-degree to 70-degree range, you'll save up to 5 percent on heating costs. Wear warm clothing like a sweater and set your thermostat to 68 degrees or lower during the day and evening, health permitting. Set the thermostat back to 55 degrees or off at night or when leaving home for an extended time, saving 5-20 percent of your heating costs (heat pumps should only be set back 2 degrees to prevent unneeded use of backup strip heating).
